[Self Experience Review] Rodan & Fields' Proactiv Solution

Hi, I'm back again after some few weeks not posting anything on this blog. I'M SORRY. Okay?! ;)

Well, I want to share a bit (probably a lot) about this new Rodan & Fields' Proactiv Solution. This treatment is could be one of the alternative and it is actually effective, especially for those who has waste a lot money and time to cure your after puberty pimples or acnes.

Why I would said that?

First, in my opinion, it's kinda need for ladies to have healthy skin or at least without any pimple or acne or acne scars. And personally, I had not get my skin treated at a doctor recently (last time I went to clinic for pimple acne care is 5 or 6 years ago).

Second, to make appointment to some famous skin doctor (I won't say who), it may take your time when you have to queue, especially if it is on busy schedule. My mom once ever experience to queue in midnight because once it is very crowded :S And i once ever experienced to visit a doctor but my face skin never get better ;( so I give up already become a lazy one in taking care of my face, since I have a thought in my mind at that time, that puberty acne or pimples will go away after 17/18/19 years old. But after 20 years old, having an acne in my face is a big trouble for me. It could be stayed on my face like for weeks and I am not confident enough to use make up to cover it. I was afraid that my acne will getting worst. For 2 years until last year, I was suffering enough with a lot of acne in my face.

I accidentally knew this Rodan & Fields' Proactiv Solution when I was going to Singapore. One of my cousin is asking help to get her her "daily scrub" on Guardian. So my Mom bought 1 and I, out of the blue, bought another 1 extra. And also I bought the toner just in case in the next day before going back to Jakarta.

I tried this treatment for almost 6 months and guess what. My face is getting cleaner than before and almost without any serious acne. I mean seriously almost without any of it. I only use this very simple treatment and my face skin is like from the doctor treatment! Too bad I didn't take any picture during the process of using this product ;(

I really recommend this simple treatment for busy ladies, or LAZY girl like me ;) For the price, I don't remember exactly but for the primer treatment number 1-2-3 is nearly cost S$125-135 incl. GST 7% if you bought it separately. This price is totally worth it than you having yourself go to doctor repeatedly and without any improvement. They have a set on a box too with some more extra treatment number 4-5-6 (if I'm not see it wrongly) but it's way too much for me to buy it again. Maybe next time will do ;)

Okay. This is how I use it:

1. Wash your face with water, massage a bit so the dirt will comes off first after that dry it a bit with towel but not to dry. Let it a little water on your face, especially of you have sensitive skin when engage with scrub.

2. Apply the scrub (1| Renewing Cleanser) not too much on your face, just a little of it. Add more if you think it's not greasy enough. Massage it on your face gently, but press a little bit on the nose especially on blackheads part.

3. Wash your face after you feel it is clean enough (remember not to massage too long because it might cause irritation).

4. Swipe the excess water with towel until it dry and apply toner (2| Revitalizing Toner) on a cotton to all the face. If you're going out under the sun or hot weather, please don't forget to use sunblock (I use Avene sunblock SPF50+ or I just use my BB cream that have sunblock SPF37 PA++)

5. If you using this before sleep, you have to apply the moisturizer (3| Repairing Treatment).

You can use this treatment until you can see the different on your face skin. I use this for 6 months daily and now I have using it for weekly.

PLEASE STOP THIS TREATMENT IF: 

1. there is allergic reaction after first time use. Remember this contain some salicylic acid, so please use it under consideration.

2. your face already clean, no more acne, pimple anymore (instead, you can use a soft gentle soap such as A-Derma for daily facial wash or other brands and use other moisturizer and ONLY repeat this treatment once for every 3 days or weekly to clear blackheads).

I made this review based on my own experience using Rodan & Fields' Proactiv Treatment number 1 (Renewing Cleanser), 2 (Revitalizing Toner), & 3 (Repairing Treatment). This treatment may too strong since every person have it's own allergic and skin sensitivity, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF:

1. Your acne or pimple or blackheads multiplied.

2. Your skin become too thin because you didn't stop using it after your face is clear from acne already.

3. And other complication or side effect.

4. You mix this product with another sensitive treatment.

I also want to give some suggestion for Rodan & Fields' about the bottle packaging. The bottle cap is easily broken if it is fall. And the product sticker on bottle number 1 (Renewing Cleanser) is easily torn because of squeezing (I already use the third bottle so I knew it wasn't my fault). And the expired date is too close (I have search for the longest expire date on any Guardian that I could find but it's just the same expire date everywhere).

Note:

● I am reviewing this based on my own expense, Rodan & Fields' has nothing to do with it. I heard Naya Rivera (on of the Glee TV show Cast) and other celebrity endorse this as well. I am not using this because of it. I just knew it few days after I reduce my usage.

● I just open Proactiv website and found out, there are 2 different Proactiv product. In this review, I'm using Proactiv without "+" sign (the original old one), not Proactiv+. I'm giving note here because it's seems it's the same but I don't know because I haven't try the other one.

I found one of my old photo when there are some acne scars and haven't know about Proactiv.

As you can see there is acne scars on my forehead, above and below my mouth. Actually there is more below my chin but it's not captured that well. In my forehead, there are some cystic acne that can't be capture by camera.

And this is me after using it for 6 months. You can see it by yourself how the acne scars disappear from myself. I really love Proactiv!
